ST. GEORGE, Utah – Weather played havoc in overtime on Saturday night at Hansen Stadium. A lightning storm in Southern Utah halted a scoreless match between Dixie State and Montana State Billings.

The match ended in a scoreless draw due to an NCAA rule that prohibits matches from going past three hours, primarily in games with multiple weather delays.

Both teams had 12 shots, equally distributed with four shots in the first half and eight in the second.

Preseason All-Pacific West forward Jennifer Mason (Springville, UT/Springville) led Dixie State (0-0-1) with four shots. Aarika Andersen (Bountiful, UT/Woods Cross), Megan Marchbanks (Springville, UT/Springville) and Ashley Wade (Saint George, UT/Pine View) each added two shots.

In goal, Stacie Gubler (Las Vegas, NV/Palo Verde) made four saves.

Dixie State heads out for a five-match road swing beginning Thursday at Seattle Pacific. The match is scheduled for a 7pm Pacific start (8pm Mountain).
