Red Storm Shutout by Holy Names

HEYWARD, Calif. – Jamie Phillips scored in the 17th minute and Tom Davies added a goal in the 82nd minute to give Holy Names University a 2-0 victory over Dixie State College this afternoon on the campus of Cal State East Bay.
 
The Red Storm fall to 1-6-1 and finished the nine day San Francisco road trip with a 0-3-1 record, which also matches their PacWest record.
 
The Hawks kept the pressure on goalie Tyler Walters (Ogden, UT/Ben Lomand) all night long. He turned away nine HNU shots despite allowing two in the back of the net. HNU had the 19-9 advantage in shots for the match.
 
Leading the Red Storm attack was Tyler Albretsen (Pleasant View, UT/Weber) with three shots on goal and
Erik Shallenberger (Las Vegas, NV, Arbor View)added two.
 
Holy Names improved to 4-2-1 overall and 2-2 in PacWest play. Goalie Pillip Roser picked up the win in the net. Christian Muehlberge assisted on both goals.
 
Dixie State will have seven days off before they play again on Sept 29 at 11:00 am at Hansen Stadium. They host Point Loma Nazarene in PacWest Conference match.
