Red Storm Drop Warm-Up With Cal State Monterey Bay



SEASIDE, Calif. -- The Dixie State Women´s golf team competed in a dual match with Cal State Montery Bay at the Par 72 Bayonet Golf Course.  The match was won by the Otters, but the Red Storm gained some valuable playing experience on a difficult course for their upcoming tournament on Monday and Tuesday.

   Haley Dunn (Layton, UT/Layton) continued her great play by shooting a 79 from Phoenix to take 3rd in the dual.  The rest of the team is composed of Brittney Bisgrove (McKinleyville, CA/Arcata)(94), Kelci Robertson (Richland, WA/Richland)(93), Shelby Madden (Iroquois Falls, Ontario Canada/Iroquois)(96), and Madalynne Fedoruk (Riverside, CA, Poly)(97).

Rain on Thursday in the area made the long course play even longer with soft conditions on the golf course. The players were having a struggle getting in roll out of their shots.

CSUMB was lead by Arinda Bhanaraksa who shot a the low of the day at 76.

   Coach Harmon was excited to play against her best friend, Coach Alexis Edwards', team. Coach Harmon and Coach Edwards played all four years together at BYU, and now enter the coaching ranks together.

Dixie State will continue their stay in Seaside this weekend and compete on Monday and Tuesday in the CSUMB Invite.
