Lancers shutout Dixie State women

PWC champs finish regualr season with flair

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Cal Baptist outshot Dixie State 24-9 on Saturday afternoon and capped of its first ever Pacific West Conference championship with a 3-0 shutout win over Dixie State College.

Dixie State concluded its season 7-8-3 overall and 5-4-3 in the Pac West, totaling 18 points. The Lancers, not yet eligible for NCAA postseason play, finished their first tour of the Pac West with a 10-1-1 record (14-2-1 overall).

Bernadette Witz had the game-winner in the 27th minute with a shot near the post. Two late goals from Fabiola de Silva and Amanda Lammers added welcomed insurance.

Lauren Minnick (Draper, UT/Alta) with three shots and Mindi Beckstrom (Nibley, UT/Mountain Crest) with two led Dixie State. April Beck (American Fork, UT/American Fork) had eight saves in net.
