Argonaut shutout is first blemish in PWC schedule

BELMONT, CALIF. (Sept. 20) – The Dixie State men's soccer team allowed a goal in the third minute of their match with Notre Dame de Namur on Monday. From that point forward, the Red Storm could not find a way to quiet down the Argonaut momentum. NDNU put on a proverbial clinic in a 5-0 defeat of Dixie State in Pacific West Conference play.

Dixie State (1-4-1, 1-1-1 PWC) tallied just six shots on the night including one on goal. NDNU (4-1-0, 2-0-0 PWC) continues their impressive start improving to 4-1-0 on the year and 2-0-0 in the conference.

Frank Barnes (two goals, assist) and Armando Garcia (goal , assist) paced the Argonaut offense.

Tyler Walters (Ogden, UT/Ben Lomand), a PWC honor roll member last week, made eight saves but drops to 1-4-1 in net.

The Red Storm completes a four-game trip in the San Francisco area with a Wednesday match with the Dominican Penguins. Action begins at 1:30pm Mountain time in San Rafael, CA.
