Roylance scores twice in Red Storm win over Chaminade

SAINT GEORGE, Utah-Jordan Roylance (Smithfield, UT/Sky View) scored two goals pacing Dixie State College to a 2-0 win over Chaminade University in their final home game of the year on Monday night at Hansen Stadium.
 

Roylance's first goal came in the 20th minute on a pass from Clayton Alexander (Issaquah, WA/Issaquah/Brighton) that he deposited into the right corner of the goal from seven yards out.

 

The final goal came in the 51st minute when Eudoro Guizar (Battle Mountain, NV/Battle Mountain) found a streaking Nyle Ortiz (Layton, UT/Layton) who headed the ball to Roylance. He gracefully then headed the ball into the back of the net giving DSC a 2-0 lead.

 

DSC outshot Chaminade 16-5 and Tyler Walters (Ogden, UT/Ben Lomand) earned the win in goal.

 

The Red Storm improved to 7-8-1 overall and 6-5-1 in PacWest play. The Silverswords drop to 1-12-1 overall and 0-11-1 in the PacWest.

 

Dixie State will conclude their season with a trip to the San Francisco Bay Area to take Dominican University and Academy of Art this weekend.
