#11 Anaya scored game-winner against BYU Hawaii

ST. GEORGE, UTAH (Oct. 5) – Moments after entering the match in the first half, Arnaldo Anaya (Saint George, UT/Snow Canyon) clipped the right side of the net giving Dixie State College a lead they would never relinquish. The Red Storm defeated BYU-Hawaii 2-0 in Pacific West Conference action at Flyer Field on the campus of Dixie High School.

Anaya's goal was setup by a Clayton Alexander (Issaquah, WA/Issaquah/Brighton) long-range pass from the DSC side of the pitch.

Dixie State (3-6-1, 3-3-1 PWC) received solid goaltending from Tyler Walters (Ogden, UT/Ben Lomand) who earned his second shutout of the season.

Nyle Ortiz (Layton, UT/Layton) posted an insurance goal from twenty yards out at the 57:51 mark – his first of the year.

BYUH's Eric Lowe had two of the three Seasider shots on the afternoon.

The teams battle again on Thursday afternoon at Hansen Stadium beginning at 4:30 pm.
