Robin Huddleston has lone goal in 1-0 win at Grand Canyon

PHOENIX, ARIZ (October 23) - The Dixie State College women's soccer team put a halt to a season-long three match losing streak winning a spirited contest at Grand Canyon 1-0 on Saturday night.

Dixie State evened up their Pacific West Conference record to 5-5 and 8-6 on the season. The Lady Lopes suffer a tough defeat to drop to 8-4-1 (6-3-1 PWC).

After a scoreless first half, the Red Storm struck for the match's only score. Julia Chipman (Washington, UT/Pine View) staged the goal with a through padss from 30 yards out toward the goal. Awaiting the pass was Robin Huddleston (Saint George, UT/Dixie) who toed in a shot past GCU goalie Stephanie Phillips.

April Beck (American Fork, UT/American Fork) faced just one shot on goal to notch the win for DSC.

DSC returns home on Saturday, October 30 at 7:30pm for a Pac West match with Chaminade University.
