Box Score ST. GEORGE, UTAH – The visiting Toros of Cal State Dominguez Hills wasted little time getting on the scoreboard and kept Dixie State College on their heels all night during Thursday's 10-6 win at Bruce Hurst Field.

Tim Mott (Las Vegas. NV/Las Vegas HS) had half of the Red Storm's hits slugging three doubles in four plate appearance while knocking in two runs.
Tyson Littlewood (St. George. UT/Pine View HS) and
Drew Oldfield (Aurora, CO/Rangeview) also hit doubles.
Skyler Southwick (Las Vegas. NV/Basic HS) threw 136 pitches in seven innings, but received the loss (3-4) allowing eight runs (four earned) on 12 hits in seven innings.
CSUDH starter Phil Van Doren varied pitch speed and his delivery effectively over eight innings scattering four runs on four hits to earn his second victory of the year.
The Toros knocked 12 hits led by OF Andrew Baslow with three singles. Second baseman Carlos Leyva stole three bases including two in the first inning.
Dixie State never led in the ballgame losing only their fourth game at home this season. The non-conference loss moves DSC to a record of 18-11. Dominguez Hills improves to 20-14 with the win.
The teams will play a doubleheader Friday beginning at 2 p.m.
