AZUSA. CA – Azusa Pacific catcher Chris Feicht slugged two home runs and knocked in three to pace the host Cougars to a 8-1 victory over the Red Storm of Dixie State Tuesday afternoon.  Five Cougar pitchers held DSC to three hits on the day.

The loss drops Dixie State to 0-2 on the season.

First baseman Alex Rosenhan (Highland. UT/Alta HS) had two of the team's hits including a solo homerun in the fifth inning. SS Jimmy Dever (Tuscon. AZ/Catalina Foothills HS) had the other safety. a solid single to left field.

Senior RHP Skyler Southwick (Las Vegas. NV/Basic HS) started on the hill for the Red Storm. In 4.2 innings. Southwick allowed four earned runs on six hits. half going over the wall for Cougar homers. He struck out four and walked none. but was dealt the loss (0-1).

Garrett Lebsock (2-0) entered the game in the third and pitched one-run ball over five solid frames. Striking out a game-high six. Lebsock allowed just two base hits.

DSC pitchers allowed five long balls – two to Feitch and one a piece to Ryan Delgado. Brice Cutspec and Stephen Gillette.

Dixie State will return to action on Friday. February 13 against Cal State San Bernardino. the first of a five-game series over three days.  First pitch is scheduled for 2pm Pacific.
