Goal with nine ticks left continue DSC goalless drought

ST. GEORGE – Dixie State College and Dominican University played scoreless soccer for 99 minutes in regulation and overtime. The Penguins used the final seconds to set up a long distance cross and goal to defeat the Red Storm 1-0 at Hansen Stadium on Tuesday night.

Dominican was outshot 14-8 but snapped a two-match losing streak with the overtime win (8-11-1, 5-8-1). Dixie State (5-10-1, 3-9) has lost four straight and been kept off the scoreboard in the last 369 minutes.
