DSC Men's Soccer finishes Hawaii trip 2-2

HILO, HAWAII – The Dixie State men's soccer team found themselves on the wrong side of a shutout for the second straight match in Hawaii falling to the Vulcans of Hilo 4-0 on Saturday.

 

After scoring six goals in two wins to start the road trip, Dixie State (5-8-1, 3-7) were held without a score in the final two matches. Hawaii-Hilo (7-8, 6-3) had season highs with 24 shots, 14 shots on goal and 10 corner kicks.

 

The Storm was led by leading goal scorer Jordan Roylance (Smithfield, UT/Sky View) and Josh Hernandez (Kaysville, UT/Davis) with three shots. GK Tyler McAninch (Las Vegas, NV/Centennial) made a season best nine saves while the team recorded 10 in total.

 

Dixie State returns home Friday, October 30 against conference-leader Grand Canyon at 4:30pm. Live stats of the match from Hansen Stadium can be found online at DixieAthletics.com.
