Mo Eckroth

Mo Eckroth returns to the Utah Tech Athletics family ahead of the 2025-26 as the new general manager of the Trailblazer women's basketball program.  

Eckroth previously served as Utah Tech Senior Associate Athletic Director, Senior Woman Administrator, and Compliance Coordinator from 2006 until her retirement in 2024.

Eckroth grew up in Salt Lake City and attended the University of Utah, where she was a four-year starter on the women’s basketball team. Following her collegiate career, she
was the first round pick of the Iowa Cornets in the 1979 Women’s Professional Basketball League Draft.

Eckroth earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah and a Master’s degree in Sports Administration from the University of New Mexico.

Before her arrival to Utah Tech, Eckroth was an assistant coach for the University of Utah’s women’s basketball team, and later served four seasons as head women's basketball coach at New Mexico from 1991-95, including the first season the Lobo program's reinstatement in 1991-92.
