Kaz Sakita

Kazuto Sakita serves as the rehabilitation coordinator and off-season softball athletic trainer for Utah Tech Athletics. 

Sakita originally joined Trailblazer Nation in September of 2011, working as the football and baseball athletic trainer until 2019. 

Before relocating to St. George, Sakita had an internship with the Boston Red Sox, working as a minor league athletic trainer and strength and conditioning coach during the 2011 season. 

Originally from Kagoshima, Japan, Sakita earned a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science in 2007 and a master's degree in Exercise Science in 2010 from Brigham Young University. Sakita served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the BYU baseball team from 2007-2010.

Sakita and his wife, Saori, have two children: Lynn and KJ.
