Alex Flores enters her second season as a Trailblazer assistant coach in 2026.
The Trailblazers posted a 15-35 overall mark in her first season in the dugout with the Trailblazers in 2025 as Utah Tech finished ninth in the WAC with a 6-18 record.
Utah Tech won six contests at neutral site, five on the road and four at home and won WAC series over Utah Valley and Abilene Christian. Junior infielder Lakaiya-Braessia Kahahawai-Kekona earned Second Team All-WAC honors after leading the Trailblazers hitting .351 from the plate.
Originally from Sherwood, Oregon, Flores has been a part of the softball community for 18 years. She played at Portland State University from 2013-2016 as a catcher/infielder.
After her collegiate career, she transitioned into coaching travel softball, serving as the head coach and president of Oregon Thunder from 2016-2022.
Flores has a strong commitment to helping student-athletes navigate college recruiting and prepare for the challenges of collegiate athletics.
She has successfully assisted multiple players in securing positions at NCAA and NAIA institutions.
In addition to her coaching at Oregon Thunder, Flores was the assistant pitching and catching coach for the WA Ladyhawks during the 2023 season.
She has conducted lessons in her community for several years and had the opportunity to serve as a pitching coach at Mt. Hood Community College during the COVID season.
Most recently, she was the head coach at Warner Pacific (NAIA) for one season before transitioning to high school coaching at Sherwood High School.
