At Utah Tech 2022 (Senior): Played in 23 games as the Blazers’ primary libero and played in 89 sets … led the team with 457 digs (5.13 digs per set) and had 96 assists and averaged 1.08 assists per set … reached double figures in digs in each match she competed … had 20 or more digs 12 times overall … ended her career third place all-time in the Utah Tech record book for digs with 1574.

At Utah Tech Fall 2021 (COVID-Junior): Played in 22 games as the Blazers’ primary libero and played in all 82 sets … led the team with 373 digs (4.55 digs per set) and had 65 assists and averaged 0.79 assists per set … reached double figures in digs in 20 matches … tallied a season-high 33 digs in a home match versus Weber State (9/4), and had 20 or more digs eight times overall … earned Academic all-WAC honors.  
 
At Utah Tech Spring 2021 (COVID-Sophomore): Played in all 17 games as the Blazers’ primary libero and played in all 57 sets … led the team with 270 digs (4.74 dps) and averaged 0.72 assists per set … was named WAC Defensive Player of the Week (2/17) after she averaged 5.71 digs over seven sets in a two-match home sweep of California Baptist (2/15-16), which included 24 digs in a four-set victory in the series opener … reached double figures in digs in 15 matches, and led the team in digs 15 times … tallied a season-high 26 digs in a road sweep at Tarleton State (3/9), and had 20 or more digs four times overall … finished second on the team in aces (12) … earned Academic all-WAC honors.  
 
At Utah Tech 2019 (Freshman): Played in all 28 matches as the Trailblazers’ primary libero and earned all-RMAC honorable mention recognition ... posted double figures in digs in 26 of 28 outings, including eight 20-plus dig matches ... racked up a career-high 27 digs and three aces in a four-set win over UCCS (10/11) ... led the team in digs in 25 of 28 matches ... finished third on the team in aces (25) and assists (206) ... registered her first (and only) collegiate kill vs. Black Hills State (9/20).  
 
At Greenway High School: Was a four-year varsity letter winner at GHS and helped lead the Demons to their second Arizona 4A state championship as a senior on her way to conference and Skyline Region Player of the Year honors … was a multiple all-state, all-region and all-district team honoree … finished with more than 1,500 career digs … GHS played to a 140-20 overall record during her four-year playing career … was a two-time team MVP, was voted GHS Female Athlete of the Year, and won the Outstanding Senior Award … also earned three varsity letters in tennis.  
 
Personal: Born in Phoenix, Arizona ... parents are Jeff and Shannon Nelson … mother Shannon played volleyball collegiately at Colorado Mesa, Arizona State and Phoenix College … older sister Jordyn is a junior on the DSU volleyball team …originally signed to play volleyball at Oregon State … also recruited by Santa Clara, Colorado Mesa and Bucknell ... played club volleyball for the AZ Storm and Aspire VBC … favorite athlete is Steph Curry … currently majoring in recreation and sports management.
 
Why I chose Utah Tech: “I chose Utah Tech/St. George because it is a beautiful town, it is close to home, it has a great volleyball program, and my sister plays on the volleyball team.”
