At Utah Tech 2023 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 22 matches ... played in 88 sets ... made 11 starts ... led Utah Tech with 27 service aces ... finished third on the team with 205 digs averaging 2.33 digs per set ... added 45 assists and five kills ... totaled 10 double-figure dig contests with a season-high 20 in a pair of matches, vs. Fresno State (9/9) and vs. Marshall (9/16) ... recorded a service ace in 16 matches with a season-high four in a pair of matches, vs. Marshall (9/16) and at Utah Valley (11/11) ... notched an assist in 16 matches with a season-best eight in a five-set win at New Mexico (9/2) at the Weber State Wildcat Invitational ... tallied one kill in five matches ... had a pair of matches with a season-best five attacks in back-to-back matches vs. Fresno State (9/8 & 9/9) ... earned Academic All-WAC honors.

Before Utah Tech: Was a three-year letter winner in volleyball at Copper Hills High School … earned Utah 6A third team all-state honors and was named Region 3 Libero MVP … selected to play in the UVCA All-Star Game … was listed on the academic honor roll. 

More on Mya: Born in West Jordan, Utah ... parents are Atina and Jessica Laufiso ... both parents were former student-athletes at Ricks College (now BYU-Idaho) ... older sister, Taela was her Utah Tech teammate in 2023, and her older brother Kailer played football at Utah Tech … also recruited by Snow College and Salt Lake CC … favorite team is the Utah Tech volleyball team … favorite athlete is Serena Williams … biggest influence as an athlete is her sister Taela … favorite food is sushi … currently majoring in general studies.
