Rick Reeve is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Trailblazers. Coach Reeve comes to Dixie State from coastal Southern California where he coached for over 10 years, including all levels of high school, as well as club beach and indoor volleyball.

Coach Reeve attended BYU, where he was a setter for the men's club volleyball team his first year after returning from a church service mission on the Hawaiian Islands. After a career ending shoulder surgery, he focused on his academics and earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Business Administration. He then returned to Southern California, where he coached varsity for both men's and women's beach and indoor volleyball for notable high school teams in the Huntington Beach area.

Reeve also served as a statistician and media relations manager for the AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals) for over 15 years. He created Beach Elite, a very successful beach and indoor volleyball club with locations across Coastal Orange County, as well as Southern and Northern Utah. His club has sent his volleyball athletes to top schools like UCLA, USC and Pepperdine. His volleyball programs have been adopted and replicated by city run youth programs such as the city of Newport Beach and Costa Mesa, Calif.
