At Dixie State 2017-18 (Junior): Recorded season PRs in the 50 free (24.85), 100 free (54.24), 100 back (1:04.60) and 100 fly (1:12.53) … also swam legs in the 200 free, 400 free, 200 medley and 400 medley relays.

2016-17 (Sophomore): Finished sixth in the 400 medley relay and seventh in the 200 medley relay at the PCSC Championships … posted a 50 free PR time of 24.12 (#3 all-time at DSU) at CMU and 100 free (PR 53.44, #5 all-time) … co-holds the school’s 200 free (1:37.43 relay school record … posted PRs in the 100 back (1:02.68) and 100 IM (1:07.36).

At BYU 2015-16 (Freshman): Swam for the Cougars as a freshman and competed in the 50-m and 100-m freestyle sprint events.

At Wasatch High School: Was a three-year varsity letter winner in swimming and currently holds school records in the 50-m free (23.98), 100-m free (52.41), 100-m backstroke … helped lead the Wasps to three-straight region crowns and the 2013 Utah 3A state championship … was a two-time region champion in the 50 and 100 free (2013 and 2015) and won state titles in the 50 and 100 free in 2013 and 2015.

Personal: Born in Gunnison, Utah … parents are Dale and Jackie James … also recruited by Utah, BYU, Wyoming, Colorado Mesa at Colorado State Pueblo … currently majoring in graphic design.

Why I chose Dixie State: “I chose Dixie State because I wanted to start a new page. I love the campus, the atmosphere and I am excited to work with the coaches.”
