Dixie State Honors: earned first and second team all-RMAC honors in 2019 (1 – 400 FR; 2 – 100 breast/200 FR/200 MR) and in 2020 (1 – 100 Breast/200 MR/200 FR; 2 - 400 FR) … was the 2020 RMAC champion in the 100 breast ... collected RMAC Academic Honor Roll recognition in 2019 and 2020.
At Vista Murrieta High School: Earned four varsity letters in swimming and holds school records in the 100 and 500 free, and the 200 free and medley relays … was part of the VMHS 2014 200 free relay CIF championship team and placed sixth individually in the 50 and 100 free events in 2015.
Personal: Born in San Diego, California … parents are Jose and Maria Gonzalez … also recruited by San Jose State, Cal State Bakersfield and California Baptist … swam for the Mesa Aquatics club team … currently majoring in secondary art education.
Why I chose Dixie State: “I chose Dixie State because I loved the smaller campus and saw lots of opportunities to grow here.”
