At Fresno State 2024-25: Competed for the Bulldog program for one season … clocked a season-best 59.72 in the 100 back in a dual vs. Nevada.
At Eldorado High School: Won four varsity letters in swimming and was a three-time state champion in the 100 back as a freshman, sophomore and senior … also lettered in track and field.
More on Makaela: Born in Los Lunas, New Mexico … father is Michael Perea … father Michael is a former college baseball player … also recruited by Fresno State, San Jose State, Cal State Bakersfield, New Mexico and New Mexico State … swam for the Duke City Barracuda club team … favorite team is the Los Angeles Dodgers … favorite band is One Direction … currently majoring in pre-dental hygiene.
