Hailey Garlich begins her first season on the Trailblazers' women's swimming coaching staff ahead of the upcoming 2022-23 season. 

Garlich comes to Utah Tech from the University of South Dakota, where she served as a graduate assistant coach for the Coyotes’ men’s and women’s swimming & diving programs for three seasons from 2019-2022. In her first and third season at USD, she helped lead both programs to runner-up finishes at the 2020 and 2022 Summit League conference championships. Her second year with the Coyotes, she helped guide the men’s team to their first ever 2021 Summit League Championship Title, and the women to a runner-up finish. During these three years, the Coyotes broke 13 team records and had 45 Coyote Top 10 times. 
 
Garlich swam four years collegiately at Grand Valley State, where she posted a combined 13 top-20 finishes at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships meets over her career. She was a four-time conference finalist in the 200-yard backstroke and a three-time finalist in the 400 IM.
