At Central York High School: Was a four-year varsity swimmer and graduated as the Panthers’ school record holder in the 200 medley relay, 100 breast and 400 free relay … helped lead CYHS to four-straight county championships … won the Stellar Student Award, and was on the distinguished honor roll as a junior and senior … was a member of the board for the Optimist Club.
Personal: Born in Scottsdale, Arizona … parents are Anthony and Veronica Gemma … also recruited by Loyola (MD), Pepperdine, Grand Canyon, New Mexico and Gardner-Webb … swam for the York YMCA club team for 10 years … favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers … favorite athlete is Caeleb Dressel … plans to major in sports psychology.
Why I Chose Utah Tech: "I chose Utah Tech because it offered a brand new campus and facilities. I quickly feel in love with the team and how well the girls treated each other. I also felt like the coaching staff was great at bringing swimmers to the next level.”
