Biography
At Snow College 2021-22 (Freshman): Played one season for the Badgers and earned second team all-Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) and Region 18 all-tournament team honors … led the SWAC in 3-point percentage (45-of-101, .446) and finished the year as the conference’s third-leading scorer at 15.5 ppg … also ranked in the conference’s top-15 in free throw percentage (5th - .820), 3FG per game (7th – 1.9 3fgm), rebounding (12th, 5.25 rpg), and field goal percentage (t-14th, .529) … scored in double figures in 28 of those outings with 10 20-plus point outings … posted consecutive 27-point nights in home wins over Community Christian (113-75; 1/8/22) and Southern Nevada (86-72, 1/13/22) … helped lead Snow to a 26-8 overall record and a No. 12 ranking in the final NJCAA Division I poll.
At Payson High School: Garnered 2018 Salt Lake Tribune Utah 4A second team all-state honors as a senior after averaging 18.4 points and 3.5 rebounds, and helped lead the Lions to state quarterfinal appearance.
Personal: Born in Payson, Utah … parents are Darin and Lynnell Wright … he and his wife Addy are expecting their first child later this season … also recruited by Northern Arizona, Portland State, Cornell, Valdosta State, NJIT, New Hampshire, Western Illinois, North Alabama, Tarleton State, Eastern Michigan, Southern Illinois, Tennessee State, Lipscomb, Northwest Nazarene, Central Missouri and Minnesota State-Moorhead … currently majoring in business.
