Lauren Towne

Lauren Towne is in her first season as assistant coach for Utah Tech women's soccer. She works primarily with UT’s goalkeepers and focuses on sports performance and recruitment for the Trailblazers.

In 2025, Towne helped UT to third-place finish in the WAC and its fourth-straight WAC Tournament appearance with an 8-7-5 record and 4-4-2 mark in conference play. The Trailblazers made their first Division I conference tournament semifinal as the the No. 3 seed. Forward Jocelyn Wright was named WAC Freshman of the Year and the Trailblazers earned eight All-WAC honors. Abby Olsen, Kyah Le and Lacy Fox were selected to the All-WAC First Team, while Wright and Bre Koscielski made the All-WAC Second Team. Olsen, Wright and Ava Talaeai were named to the All-WAC Freshman Team. Utah Tech set DI single-season team records in goals (38), assists (37), points (113), shots (291), and shots on goal (138). Among all-time program single-season records, the 2025 team ranks tied for second in assists (37), sixth in points (113) and seventh in goals (38).

Towne joins the Trailblazers having finished her playing career at Gonzaga. Towne appeared in 45 matches between the posts for Gonzaga over five seasons (2020-2024) and served as team captain in 2023 and 2024.

An All-WCC Second Team honoree in 2023, Towne led GU to the program’s first conference championship, winning the West Coast Conference Tournament, and NCAA Tournament win, shutting out Idaho 1-0 in the first round,

Towne ended her career in the Zags’ record book with the fewest goals allowed with a minimum of two seasons played (39), third in goals against average (1.08) and tied for fourth in shutouts (12).

A native of Sacramento, California, Towne earned a bachelor’s degree of Education in Kinesiology from Gonzaga University in 2024.
