2020 WSOC - Coach Clark Headshot

Jennie Clark

Jennie Clark is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Trailblazer Women's Soccer program. Clark joins the Trailblazer program following a two-year stint as the manager of competitions for the Twin Cities Soccer leagues in Bloomington, Minn. She also served as an assistant coach at Eagan High School and Hamline University in 2018, and spent four years as a coach and director of her own Excel Soccer Camp in Iowa from 2012-16.

“I could not be more excited to be joining the coaching staff at Dixie State University. Coming into a successful program that is moving to the D-I level is a rare opportunity and I am eager to be a part of it. The staff consists of highly knowledgeable coaches who I have the upmost respect for and I am looking forward to learning and growing with them, the players, and this program.”

Clark was a four-year letter winner at Minnesota from 2007-10, where she earned all-Big Ten, all-region and All-America honors. As a two-year team captain, she helped lead the Gophers to a pair of NCAA Tournament “Sweet 16” appearances and a Big Ten tournament title, and was voted the team’s defensive MVP. Clark also played professionally in Germany from 2011-16, and participated in the 2010 USYNT U-23 team training camp.

Clark was also a four-time Academic all-Big Ten selection and she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication at Minnesota in 2011.

"Jennie is coming to the DSU staff with a wealth of soccer experiences at multiple levels,” says DSU Head Coach Molly Rouse. “Considering how many of our current players have expressed a desire to play professionally, as well as coach once their time at Dixie State is complete, it is important to have a role model within the program who represents this path. Jennie has played at the highest level and has an incredible eye for the game. I believe she will be excellent at utilizing these experiences to form strong connections with the players, while aiding them in their development on and off the field. Jennie is one of the most committed and passionate individuals I know. Her love of the game will no doubt enhance our team environment."
