Biography

In her career at Dixie State: Nawahine played in 55 games as a Trailblazer. She has scored one goal, taken 12 shots and had four on frame. Breesa was a significant contributor on the defensive side of the ball with over 1,600 minutes clocked.

At Dixie State: 2020 (SENIOR) – Appeared in 12 games and started in 5 … helped the Trailblazers defense lock down two shutouts … posted four assists and 10 total points …did not record any stats

At Dixie State: 2019 (JUNIOR) – Appeared in 21 matches with 13 starts … scored her first collegiate goal in a 6-1 season-opening win vs. Cal State San Bernardino (9/5) … attempted eight total shots (3 SOG) … Academic All-RMAC Honor Roll selection.
 
2018 (SOPHOMORE): Saw time in 16 matches in a reserve role and was credited with two shot attempts … was an Academic all-RMAC Honor Roll selection …
 
2017 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in six matches in a reserve role and logged 125 minutes of playing time … attempted two shots – one on goal … earned Academic All-PacWest honors.
 
At Skyridge High School: Attended SHS in 2016-17 and helped lead the Falcons to the Utah 4A quarterfinals in the program’s first year of competition … earned first team all-region and honorable mention all-state recognition … played at Lone Peak HS from 2013-16, where she was part of a region title winning team and a Utah 5A runner-up side in 2014 … was listed on the high honor roll all four years of high school.
 
Personal: Born in Honolulu, Hawai’i ... parents are Darren and Kaloi Nawahine … father Darren is a former college football player ... also recruited by Utah State, Marshall, Southern Virginia and Highland University ... favorite team is the San Francisco 49ers ... currently majoring in psychology.
 
Why I chose Dixie State: “I chose Dixie State because I liked the overall atmosphere of the school. From an athletic standpoint, I was glad to see the high standard that both coaches and teammates held each other to. I also liked that class sizes are small and that activities are almost always available on campus to help students get to know one another and have fun.”
