At Waiakea High School: Division I Cross Country BIIF Champion in 2015 and 2016 …  placed 10th overall at the 2016 Hawaii State Cross Country Championships with a time of 22:17 (5K) … graduated in May 2017.
 
Personal: Born in Japan … parents are Michael and Ayumi Yabe … also recruited by Hawaii Hilo and Hawaii-Manoa … currently majoring in nursing.
