Boyd will be transferring from Kirkwood Community College. After dropping its first game of the season by a single point. Kirkwood went on a 35-game win streak. winning by an average of 42.8 points per game. including a 29-point victory over Kankakee Community College in the NJCAA Division II Championship game. Boyd played for head coach Kim Muhl at Kirkwood. which finished as NJCAA Division II Runners-up her freshman season. with a record of 32-3. She comes from a junior college program where she finished 67-4 .

High School: Named to the all-tournament team as she helped lead Keokuk High School to a second place finish at the 2005 (3-A) girls state basketball tournament. Courtney was named first team all-conference. first team all-district and second team all-state. Courtney scored a career high of 18 points against Denison-Schleswig High School. Averaged 7.4 points per game along with 7.7 assists and 3.4 steals during her senior year and broke the school career assist record with 478. Courtney is the daughter Jim and Kim of and will be an elementary education major at Dixie State.
