Wenger comes to Dixie State after spending one season as an assistant coach at Mount Vernon Nazarene.
Before her time at Mount Vernon she served as the assistant women's basketball coach at Colby Community College in Kansas in 2019, then previously the head women's basketball coach from 2015 to 2018 at Manhattan Christian College (NCCAA DII) in Manhattan, Kan.
In her three seasons at MCC, Coach Wenger led the Thunder to an undefeated Midwest Christian College Conference championship, a conference tournament championship, and a national tournament appearance (2018) in the NCCAA Division II. She successfully turned the program around, going 6-22 her first season, then 15-12, and finishing 21-8 in her final year.
Wenger enjoyed great success as a player at Manhattan Christian College as well and graduated in 2014. At point guard, she led the Thunder to two regional championships (2013 and 2014), three conference championships, two conference tournament championships (2013 and 2014), and two national tournament appearances (2013 and 2014) while finishing runner-up her junior year. She was also recognized as a Second Team All-American in 2013.
While attending Manhattan Christian, Wenger earned a degree in Bible and Leadership ('14) and a B.S. of Social Work from Kansas State University. She is currently finishing a master's degree from KSU in Academic Advising.
Wenger is a Kansas native, born and raised in the Topeka area.
