Lauren Brocke begins her first season on the Trailblazer women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach on Coach Wardenburg’s staff.
Brocke joins the Utah Tech program after serving as an assistant coach at the United States Air Force Academy for three seasons from 2023-26, the last two of which she was on the staff with Wardenburg.
Last season at Air Force, she coached the forwards and post positions, in addition to serving as the program’s recruiting and equipment coordinator, and as the program’s compliance liaison.
In addition, she helped lead the Falcons to the Mountain West Conference Tournament championship game, and the second of consecutive postseason WNIT appearances.
In her second season with the Falcons in 2024-25, Brocke was part of a Falcon program that posted an 18-15 overall record, which was the program’s second winning season in the program’s Division I history.
The Falcons opened the season at 10-2, earning the program’s first-ever 10-win non-conference and best start to a season since 1991-92. The Falcons went on to defeat Utah State in the opening round before falling in the MW quarterfinals, and to a WNIT appearance.
Prior to her time at Air Force, Coach Brocke spent two seasons at Colorado College as an assistant coach head coach Katherine Menendez. In her time at CC, the Tigers compiled a 19-8 record in 2022-23 which included a 14-2 clip against SCAC opponents and a 70-64 win over No. 1 Trinity University (Feb. 5). The 19-8 record was Colorado College's best season record since 1980-81 in which the Tigers finished at 20-8.
While at CC, Brocke's areas of responsibility included recruiting, player development, scouting, community service, leadership training, team travel coordination and managing the program's social media accounts.
In addition, Brocke served as a member of the support staff for Team USA in the summer of 2022, assisting with the U-17 and U-18 team trials at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
Brocke was a four-year letter winner at Colorado State, playing for the Rams from 2018-2021, earning a Mountain West All-Academic selection in 2019 and serving on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Brocke earned her Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management and a certificate in entrepreneurship at CSU.
