Rachel Saenz

Rachel Saenz was hired at Utah Tech in August of 2023 and will work with Women's Basketball, volleyball and tennis while assisting with football.

She comes to St. George after nearly two years as a graduate assistant at Texas A&M Kingsville, where she served as the head strength coach for softball, tennis, golf, and cross country while assisting with football. She also led the Javelinas' developmental football group. Before her time in Texas, Saenz spent one year as a strength and conditioning coach at DME Academy in Florida, where she was the head coach for the academy's men's and women's JV basketball teams and assisted in coaching the organization's other basketball squads.


In the summer of 2021, Saenz interned in the Sacramento State strength and conditioning program, where she helped coach the football, basketball and soccer programs. She also interned with the UC Davis strength and conditioning program from 2018-20, where she assisted in training the football, women's volleyball, softball, basketball, and track teams.


Saenz earned an Associate's degree in Health Science from Merritt College in 2018 before double majoring in Cognitive Science and Exercise Biology at the University of California-Davis, graduating in June of 2021. She will graduate with her Master's in Kinesiology from Texas A&M Kingsville in December of 2023.
