Biography

2010:  Started 27 games on the mound...finished with a 20-8 record in the circle...Named PacWest Pitcher of the Week (3/1/10)....held opponents to a .271 batting average...had 120 strikeouts with a 3.43 ERA.....Threw a one-hitter at the NCAA Regionals vs. Sonoma State (5/15/10) for the win.... tied a career high with 9 k's against BYU-Hawaii (2/24/10)...Five shutouts on the season.

2009:  Turned in a promising freshman season, starting 28 games in the circle...finished with a 1.95 ERA for 2nd best record in school history...had a 15-6 record which places her 2nd on all time wins...threw a no hitter and had a season high 9 k's against BYU-Hawaii (3/28/09)...finished with five shutouts on the season...awarded PacWest Conference Pitcher of the week (03/29/09)...1st team All PacWest Conference...2nd team NFCA All-West Region team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Instrumental in guiding her Tooele High School (Tooele, UT) to three state softball titles...As a Senior, named 4A All-State MVP...also garnered 3A All-State Most Valuable Player & All-Tournament MVP in state tournament as Junior...named Wendy's High School Heisman winner for Tooele high...a member of the National Honor Society...served as freshman and sophomore class officer....played for the TC Thunder club team that won four Utah ASA State Championship...played with current Red Storm teammate Kelsey Mendenhall in HS and with TC Thunder.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Greg and Nancy Folta...has four older sisters...born in Salt Lake City, Utah.
