Sahvanna Jaquish

Sahvanna Jaquish enters her first year as softball assistant coach at Dixie State during the 2020-21 season.
 
Jaquish, a native of Highland, California, comes to Dixie State after serving as assistant coach at the University of La Verne during the 2019 season and a volunteer assistant at LSU during the 2018 season. Before coaching, Jaquish enjoyed an illustrious playing career at LSU and later with Team USA and in the National Fastpitch Pro league. 
 
As a senior at LSU,  Jaquish finished the 2017 season with a team-high 13 doubles and was second on the team in total home runs with nine. She drew a team-high 62 walks, the 13th most in the nation and a single-season record for the program. She became the first player in LSU history, and the 33rd in the history of the award, to earn All-American honors all four years. She also earned NFCA Division I South Region First Team, All-SEC Second Team, SEC All-Tournament Team, was named a USA Softball Player of the Year Top 34 finalist and was a LSWA Player of the Week.
 
The four-time All-American finished her career as the all-time RBI leader in program history and the only player to record three seasons of 60 or more RBI. She ended her career in the NCAA Top 10 in RBI.
 
With Team USA, Jaquish helped the squad win gold at the 2018 WBSC World Championship Gold, hitting two home runs and driving in six RBI.
