Nate Miller entering 4th year at Dixie state University. Nate serves as the hitting and infield coach for the Red Storm. Under Millers's direction, the Storm set a team record in double plays turned at 32 in 2014. They led the nation in hitting in 2014 with a team batting average of .368. Nate also assists in recruiting.
Nate Miller played baseball at Irvine Valley College (CA) after prepping at Northridge High School in Layton, UT. He then served an LDS church mission to Des Moines, Iowa and when he returned he then joined the Miller family tradition of coaching, where his grandfather, Harold Miller, was the coach at Bonneville High School, his uncle Rick, coached at Clearfield High School and his other uncle, Blake Miller is an assistant coach at the University of Oregon. Nate begin his coaching stints at Clearfield High School and then Syracuse High School before joining the Red Storm program.
When not coaching, Miller is actively involved in traveling with his mens fastpitch softball team, primarily playing the middle infield position since he started playing fastpitch at 14 years old. Nate is married to Brittnie Whipple Miller who pitched for the Red Storm (2008-2011) where they reside in St. George, UT with sons Tatem and Swayze.
