2020 MSOC - Coach Trella Headshot

Bradley Trella '19

Former Dixie State standout netminder Bradley Trella is in his third season as an assistant coach for the Trailblazer men’s soccer program. Trella will assist in coaching the goalkeepers.

Trella played two seasons at DSU from 2015-16, and will go down as the most dominant goalkeeper in Dixie State history, and one of the best-ever in the West Region. He closed his two-year tenure as the program’s single season and career leader in goals against average, save percentage and shutouts, and is second all-time in career wins and saves.

In 2015 he was named PacWest Goalkeeper of the Year and earned first team all-PacWest and second team D2CAA NSCAA all-West Region honors. He was also the NCAA Division II Statistical Champion as the nation’s leader in save percentage, and finished seventh-nationally in goals against average. He also posted the ninth-longest individual shutout streak in NCAA Division II history with he went just over 796 minutes without allowing a goal, which was the longest streak recorded nationally in Division II since 2005.

He picked up right where he left off in 2016 as again he was named PacWest Goalkeeper of the Year as he recorded four more shutout results and led the PacWest in GAA to help lead DSU to its first-ever PacWest title and NCAA tournament bid.

Trella completed work on his Bachelor’s degree computer science at Dixie State in 2019.
