At Utah Tech 2020-21 (COVID-Sophomore): Qualified for two events and posted a 78.00 stroke average in six competitive rounds … carded four rounds in the 70s, including a season-best 2-over 73 in the second round at the GCU Inv’l (3/15) … placed 52nd at the UC Santa Barbara Collegiate.
At Utah Tech 2019-20 (Sophomore): Played in all seven events in a season that was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic … wound up fifth on the team in stroke average at 74.95 in 21 competitive rounds with five rounds of par of better … fired a season-low 4-under 68 in the second round of the Western Washington Viking Inv’l … finished a season-best t-17th at the NDNU Argonaut Inv’l.
At Utah Tech 2018-19 (Freshman): Voted RMAC Freshman of the Year, earned First Team all-RMAC and garnered DII PING all-South Central Region honors ... tied for the team lead with four top-10s and posted a team-high 15 rounds of par or better ... finished second on the team in scoring average at 73.09 ... led UT with three under-par rounds at the NCAA South Central/West Regional to finish t-fourth overall and rolled in a tournament-best 18 total birdies ... posted a t-64th finish at the NCAA D-II National Championships ... played in 11 events in his debut season with a co-team high four top-10s, including back-to-back top-10s at the Western Washington Viking and Western New Mexico fall events, which came in just his second and third collegiate starts, respectively.
At Snow Canyon High School: Won the 2017 Utah 4A Boys Golf state individual championship and claimed Region 9 medalist honors as a senior … won five prep tournaments overall during his senior season … also posted a state 3A runner-up individual finish as a sophomore in 2015.
Personal: Born in St. George, Utah … parents are Richard and Melissa Gardner … favorite team is Manchester City … favorite athlete is Tiger Woods … also recruited by Weber State, San Diego, Long Beach State, Oregon and North Idaho College ... currently majoring in business.
