Biography
At Utah Tech 2021-22 (Junior): Played in nine of 10 team events and finished fifth on the team with a 75.48 stroke average in 27 total rounds … carded five rounds of par of better, highlighted by a season-low 2-under 70 in the second round of the SUU Pat Hick Inv’l, at which he placed t-29th overall ... earned Academic All-WAC honors.
At Utah Tech 2020-21 (COVID-Sophomore): Played in five team events and was third among team regulars with a 74.29 stroke average in 14 rounds with five par-or-better loops … carded a collegiate career-low 5-under 67 in the second round of the SUU Pat Hicks Inv’l (2/7) en route to a t-17th finish … recorded a career-best t-12th place showing at the 2021 WAC Championships, at which he fired an opening 2-under 70, which was followed by a 1-under 71 … finished the year with nine-straight rounds in the 70s.
At Utah Tech 2019-20 (Sophomore): Played in four of seven team events in a season that was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic … fired an opening 2-under 70 in his first round of the season at the WNMU/RJGA Fall Region Preview on his way to a t-24th place finish … posted a season-best t-15th place showing at the NDNU Argonaut Inv’l (+7 223), and a t-20th finish at the CBU Lancer Joust.
At Utah Tech 2018-19 (Freshman): Appeared in one team event during the fall season, which was the UT-hosted Fall Regional Preview ... fired an even par 72 in his first collegiate round and placed t-69th overall at plus-5 149.
At Beaver High School: Was a four-time region golf medalist and won the Utah 2A state individual championship in 2017 to help lead the Beavers to a state team crown … also lettered in baseball and basketball and was part of the Beavers’ 2018 2A state championship basketball team.
Personal: Born in Beaver, Utah … parents are Curt and Michelle Heslington … father Curt played college baseball at Long Beach State … favorite teams are the New York Yankees and Seattle Seahawks … favorite athlete is Rory McIlroy … plans to major in criminal law.
