Biography
At BYU-Hawaii (2016-17): Helped lead the Seasiders to the 2017 PacWest championship with a t-15th individual finish at 3-over 219 … was part of four team tournament wins overall … posted two top-10 finishes, including a t-eighth place showing at the WNMU Cactus Thaw … finished the year with a 73.91 stroke average (24 rounds) with six rounds of par or better.
At Brigham Young (2011-12/2015-16): Played in five total tournaments over two seasons for the Cougars … posted a 73.67 stroke average as a sophomore … carded a low round of 3-under 68 in the final round of the 2015 Fresno State/Nick Watney Inv’l.
At Orem High School: Was a four-year varsity letter winner in golf and was a four-time all-region performer and a three-time Utah 4A all-state selection … won the Region 7 individual title in 2010 and posted runner-up finishes in 2009 and 2011 … also lettered in baseball … played in the International Junior Golf Tour and also helped lead Team USA to a pair of North America Cup wins over Canada in 2010 and 2011.
Personal: Born in Redmond, Washington … parents are Mike and Sandra Stanger … father Mike was a collegiate golfer at Utah State and played professionally … favorite team is the Utah Jazz … also recruited by Utah State, Utah, Utah Valley and Colorado-Colorado Springs ... currently majoring in psychology.
