Reed McArthur

Coach McArthur was born and raised here in St. George. He attended Dixie High School where he won three state championship titles, and was a medalist his junior year.

After high school McArthur continued playing golf collegiately. He competed for Dixie State for two years and then went on to play for Weber State and the University of Utah.

McArthur returned to St. George after his college golfing career and began coaching the Dixie High Flyers. He coached the Flyers to seven state titles in 14 years, before taking over as head coach of Dixie State’s golf team in 2007.

He is in his 21st year as the Head PGA Professional at the Sunbrook Golf Club here in St. George and has been an Officer in the Utah Section for 14 years. In 2010, McArthur was awarded the PGA Professional of the Year for the Utah Section.

McArthur is married to his wife Susie and together they have three children: Sydnee, Nicholas, and Mitchell.
