At UC Davis 2012-13 (Freshman): Played in four games off the bench for the Aggies … averaged 2.0 points and 0.8 rebounds a game ... shot 33.3 percent (3-of-9) from the floor ... tallied season-highs of six points and two rebounds vs. Hawai’i (2/14) ... scored two points and collected one steal in his first collegiate game vs. Eastern Washington (12/17).
At Desert Hills High School: Named Deseret News 3A State MVP after averaging 13.4 ppg and 5.2 rpg to help lead the Thunder to a 21-4 record and Utah 3A state runner-up finish as a senior in 2012 ... was a two-time all-state first team selection ... averaged 14.6 ppg during his junior season ... lettered in track and field and won three 3A state championships in the high jump ... also lettered in golf and was an all-state honorable mention pick ... earned the Diamond T Award for highest school involvement.
Personal: Born in St. Louis, Missouri … parents are Richard and Julie Ott … also recruited by Utah, Utah State, Weber State, BYU, Utah Valley, Southern Utah, UC Davis Pepperdine, UC Irvine, Washington State, Arizona State, Boston College, Colorado and Denver … currently majoring in mathematics education.
Why I chose Dixie State: "I chose Dixie State because there were a lot of good reasons for me to come back home to Dixie. It will be nice to be back closer to home and around my family members. I also want to have a great year and I know that the guys on the team and the coaching staff will put me in the best position to have a tremendous experience.”
