At Dixie State 2016-17 (Freshman): Appeared in the first seven games off the bench before sitting out the rest of the season due to injury (granted a medical redshirt) … played in 39 total minutes and collected one rebound and one assist … earned academic all-PacWest honors.  

At Copper Hills High School: Earned three varsity letters in basketball and helped lead the Grizzlies to the Utah 5A state title game last season ... earned Deseret News 5A first team all-state honors after he led the team in scoring at 16.3 ppg, along with 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists as a senior ... was a three-time Region 3 selection as was named the region’s Most Outstanding Player in 2016 ... earned MVP honors at the 2013 Surf-n-Slam, 2016 Elite 8 and 2016 KSA Orlando tournaments.

Personal: Born in Sandy, Utah … parents are Mario and Marnie Sanchez … also recruited by Hawai’i Pacific, Chaminade, Westminster College, Westmont, Occidental College and Western Wyoming CC … favorite team is the Miami Heat and favorite athlete is Dwyane Wade … currently majoring in communication.

Why I chose Dixie State: "I chose Dixie State because it was the best fit for me out of all the opportunities I was given throughout my years of going to school and playing basketball. But not only that, I really enjoy the campus, weather, people and the coaching staff. Dixie State has always been a school I was really interested in and I'm extremely grateful to be able to attend here!"
