Entering 2015-16: Was selected to the preseason All-PacWest team … is DSU’s top-returning scorer at 12.3 ppg.

At Dixie State 2014-15 (Junior): Named to the Pacific West Conference Third Team … started all 28 games at point guard and played 31.9 minutes an outing … averaged 12.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists … shot 41 percent from the field, 36.6 percent from 3-point range and 70.8 percent from the foul line … scored in double figures 18 times with a career-high 23 points at California Baptist on Dec. 6 … recorded his first career double-double with 17 points and 10 assists (career-high) in a home win over then-#13 Azusa Pacific (1/17), which earned him PacWest Co-Player of the Week honors … dished out five or more assists in 13 games.

2013-14 (Sophomore): Played in all 28 games and logged 17.3 minutes per outing … averaged 7.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists a game … scored in double figures in eight games, including a season-high 18 points vs. Hawai’i Hilo (2/11) … dished out a season-best seven assists vs. Academy of Art (1/30) and California Baptist (3/1).

At Snow College 2010-11: Named to the Scenic West All-Region 18 second team as a freshman … averaged 11.5 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game … finished the season ranked in the top-10 regionally in free throw percentage, three-point field goal percentage, assists and steals.

At West Jordan High School: Was a first team All-State selection and led the Jaguars to the 2009 5A state title … was voted the Region 3 most outstanding player … graduated as the WJHS all-time assist leader.

Personal: Born in West Jordan, Utah … parents are Steve and KayCee Sawyer … he and his wife Kortni are the parents of an infant son, Riggins … also recruited by Boise State and Westminster College … currently majoring in psychology.
