At Northwest Nazarene 2018-19 (Freshman): Played in 27 games as a freshman for the Nighthawks and averaged 7.5 points and 3.7 rebounds a game while shooting 44.7 percent from the floor … scored in double figures seven times, highlighted by a 22-point effort in a home win over Simon Fraser, which he followed up one game later with 20 points and a career-best 11 rebounds in a victory at Alaska-Fairbanks.
 
At Salem Hills High School: Was named 2018 Utah 4A MVP after he led the state in scoring (25.0 ppg) and was a two-time all-state selection.

Personal: Born in Boise, Idaho … parents are David and Amberli Nelson … father David played college basketball at Boise State and mother Amberli was an all-conference basketball player at BYU … also recruited by Concordia, Westminster, Hawai’i Hilo and Salt Lake CC ... favorite teams are the Utah Jazz, Boston Red Sox and Dallas Cowboys … favorite athletes are Larry Bird and Tom Brady … currently majoring in history.
