At Kahuku High School: Earned three varsity letters in football … earned first team all-state honors at running back as a junior after he rushed for 1,499 yards … was rated as the No. 1 running back in Hawai’i and was a five-time impact player award recipient … also lettered in rugby.
 
Personal: Born in Utah … parents are Lorenzo and Malia Matagi … favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers … favorite athlete is Marshawn Lynch … currently majoring in general studies.
