At Utah Tech 2022 (Sophomore): Started all 11 games at the tackle position (7 right tackle/4 left tackle) ... helped protect the Trailblazers’ "Spread and Shred" attack, which was the WAC’s top passing offense (310.36 ypg) and led the conference in passing touchdowns (28), and was second in the WAC in total offense (425.36 ypg) … also part of an offense line that helped produce the WAC’s top rusher in (Quali Conley - 1,095 yds - UT school record).

At Utah Tech Fall 2021 (COVID Freshman): Played in all 11 games with eight starts at left tackle.
 
At Utah Tech Spring 2021 (Freshman): Started in two of the three games he appeared in during the spring … was part of an offensive line that averaged 420.8 ypg (122.4 rush/game), and surrendered only six total sacks in 194 total pass attempts.
 
Before Utah Tech: Earned three varsity letters in football at Preston High School and was a first team all-region selection at both quarterback and defensive end ... was also a two-time player of the year in basketball and helped lead the Indians to two Idaho state basketball titles ... graduated in May 2020.
 
More on Ty: Born in Logan, Utah … parents are Tony Hyde and Karie Johnson ... also recruited by Weber State and Idaho State ... favorite team is the Dallas Cowboys ... favorite athlete is Damian Lillard ... currently majoring in communication.
