Biography

At Dixie State 2019 (Redshirt Sophomore): Played in seven games at quarterback and threw for 450 yards on 37-of-66 passing and three touchdowns ... also rushed for 79 total yards and another score ... accounted for three total touchdowns, including career highs in completions (17), passing yards (240), passing TDs (2), rush yard (45) and rush TDs (1) off the bench in a Homecoming appearance vs. Chadron State (10/26) ... also threw for a touchdown in his only pass attempt (20 yds) vs. Colorado Mesa (11/2).  

At Dixie State 2018 (Redshirt Freshman): Appeared in one game … rushed for 15 yards on three carries.  

At Dixie State 2017 (Freshman): Sat out the season as a redshirt.

At Bountiful High School: Lettered in football and baseball … earned first team All-Region and Region 6 MVP honors … helped Wildcats to 2014 Region 6 title … graduated in June 2015.

Personal: Born in Salt Lake City, Utah … parents are Garet and Keri Hammond … also recruited by Utah, Southern Utah and Colorado Mesa … favorite teams are the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Dodgers and Utah Utes ... favorite athlete is Baker Mayfield ... currently majoring in marketing.

Why I chose Dixie State: “I chose Dixie State because I loved St George since I was a kid coming down here for baseball tournaments so when the offer came it was hard for me to pass up.”
