Josh Fullmer is in his third season as a member of the Utah Tech Athletic Training staff. Fullmer came to St. George from Colorado Mesa, where his served as the head certified athletic trainer since 2008. He started at CMU as an assistant athletic trainer as well as the clinical coordinator for the athletic training education program for two years before he took over as the head athletic trainer.
While at CMU, Fullmer also worked for the Department of Kinesiology as an instructor in the athletic training education program as well as serving as a preceptor, and was a member of the CMU athletic department administrative team.
Fullmer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Weber State University in 2003. He then went on and earned a Master’s of Science degree in Sports Psychology from the University of Utah in 2006, where he worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the football team. Josh worked with the first “BCS Busters” as Utah earned a bid to the Fiesta Bowl with an undefeated season in 2004-2005. He is certified as an emergency medical technician.
Josh has worked with two major league baseball organizations; the Milwaukee Brewers in 2003 and the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2004, and served as an athletic trainer for Las Vegas All-American Classic College Football from 2003-2006, the final year as the head athletic trainer and medical coordinator. In addition, he worked as the medical director for the All-Alaska Football Camp.
Josh and his wife Amberlee have four children, Kaylee, Scott, Allison and Carson. Josh enjoys the outdoors and activities including hiking, camping, backpacking and golf.
