At Bingham High School: Two-year starter at quarterback … completed 113 passes for 1,625 yards and 26 touchdowns as a senior … earned first team All-State and Region MVP honors … logged a 26-2 record … helped the Miners to two state championships … tossed 54 touchdown passes vs. 11 interceptions …National Football Foundation award winner … earned Academic All-Region honors … graduated in June 2015.
 
Personal: Born in Michigan … parents are David and Tonna Gearig … also recruited by BYU and Snow College … currently majoring in biomedical sciences.
