Played on region championship football team (2005); co-captain of varsity basketball team; earned all-region honorable mention and all-area second team honors in basketball.
 
Personal:
Parents are Charles and Debra. Third of six children. Grandfather, Ron Maughan, played football at Utah State. Served two-year mission for Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Charlotte, North Carolina.
